Our Purpose

Beginning of June 2015, we will embark on our adventure down the Mississippi River.  Our adventure will begin in Northern Minnesota at the headwaters of the Mississippi.  Here, water from Lake Itasca cascades over a small rock dam and creates the Mississippi River.  There we will paddle 2,552 winding river miles to mile marker 0 at the Gulf of Mexico.  This journey will take us roughly 60-70 days to complete.  The purpose of this trip is to raise money for suicide awareness and prevention.  All funds donated will go directly to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Remembering Adam...

Picture

On January 4th, 2013, my cousin, Adam, died by suicide at the age of 38, leaving his loved ones with the question... why? He was the guy who, on the surface, seemed to have it all~ family, friends, a good job and a place to call home. However, on the inside, he was facing an entirely different battle. A battle that left him feeling hopeless and alone. Despite the love of his family and his efforts to get his life back on track, he could not find the way. Adam was a great son, brother, friend and most of all an awesome dad.
